Mahama assigns new Controller, Accountant-General
Grace Adzroe, immediate past Controller and Accountant-General
President John Mahama has made yet another appointment at the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department.
Following the exit of Grace Francisca Adzroe as Controller and Accountant-General, the president has assigned a former deputy of the department, Seidu Kotomah to take over as the substantive boss.
Madam Adzroe was due for retirement.
Before his appointment, Mr. Kotomah served as the Deputy Controller and Accountant-General in- charge of Financial Management Service.
A Chartered Accountant, Seidu Kotomah was employed by the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) in September 1989, having over 21 years’ experience in public sector accounting.
Mr. Kotomah held a number of significant positions including the Director of the Ghana Integrated Financial Management Information System (GIFMIS), Head of Payroll, Director of Internal Audit and Investigation and Head of Main Accounts.
He has also served as Treasury Officer in Washington DC and Assistant Treasury Officer in London.
Seidu Kotomah holds an MBA from Middlesex University, London and BA (Hons) in Economics from the University of Ghana.
He also undertook an ACCA course at Financial Training Company in London, United Kingdom.
