99.5 percent of Ghana media are corrupt - Mahama

Flagbearer of the People’s National Convention (PNC) party, Dr. Edward Mahama has lashed out at the Ghanaian media, saying, 99.5 percent of them are corrupt.

He said Ghana was failing in her fight against corruption because the media are themselves corrupt.

Dr. Mahama was speaking to journalists after a ceremony to formally confirm the parliamentary candidate for the Builsa South constituency at Fumbisi in the Builsa South district of the Upper East region.

Incumbent Member of Parliament (MP), Alhassan Azong, got the nod to run for the third consecutive time on the ticket of the PNC.

Speaking after his confirmation, Azong who contests against the National Democratic Congress (NDC’s), Dr. Clement Apaak, said he was confident of retaining the seat because the people still have confidence in him.
